Wellbeing begins at home

We know how important it is to support wellbeing, particularly with tenants in social housing some of whom face a number of pressures and challenges.

According to various mental health charities, having a pet or interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol (a stress related hormone) and lower blood pressure. Other studies have found that animals can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support and boost moods. They can also increase confidence and help to build social skills. These are all things we proactively seek to support in our buildings.

Our Broadfields community in Crawley are pet-friendly and actively welcome and encourage the presence of pets living with tenants. There are also some special support pets permitted in our Bristol community at Imperial Apartments for those who have need.
